West Branch Instructional Coaches will foster relationships with teachers and provide opportunities for collaborative conversations that support reflection, professional learning, and actions in order to advance instruction and maximize student learning.

West Branch Instructional Coaches' Roles:

• Regularly observe classroom instruction and provide coaching & feedback

• Stay current in research based practices & materials

• Collaborate with building leadership teams to plan & deliver professional development—entire staff, small groups and individuals

• Model research based instructional strategies

• Collaborate and support instructional planning, implementation, and reflection

• Engage in coaching cycles 

• Support new to the district teachers (teachers on initial license (pdf) and teachers on standard license (pdf) who are new to the district.
